How to upgrade your photo game

On social media, especially Instagram, taking great photos can make your break your account. There was a time when I saw these beautifully curated accounts and thought, “What do they have that I don’t?” Well, friends, I have some answers proven to work for you.

  1. Presets – A preset is a photo filter or “look” that you use consistently on all of your photos. I personally use Lightroom but VSCO has some good options too. Better yet? With Lightroom mobile, you can edit a photo with one single click. It makes editing a breeze and will give your photos the consistent look you are after. Grab my four Lightroom presets for $5. Want a custom preset made just for you? I offer this service as well.
  2. Keep it simple – Most of the time, the reason you are attracted to “perfect” IG feeds is because the photos are simple. Most importantly, they do not have super busy backgrounds that can easily clutter a photo and in turn, the feed.
  3. Create a portrait effect – Another way to keep photos less busy is by using your phone’s portrait mode. If you don’t have this, you can use a number of other apps to create a similar effect. FaceTune has worked the best for me because you are able to draw in your blur-effect.
